Fast Gear came to us with a slow, glitch-prone Joomla shop. Fifteen years and three rebuilds later it is a fast, feature-rich WooCommerce store that ranks on page one for its category and has grown online sales more than tenfold.
Fast Gear is a specialist triathlon and endurance store based in Sydney. They stock everything an athlete needs across swim, bike and run, from nutrition and wetsuits to bikes, shoes and goggles, with a catalogue of around 2,000 products serving both retail customers and trade buyers.
When Fast Gear came to us they were running an outdated Joomla website. It was slow, offered only a basic cart flow, and could not keep up with the way the business needed to sell online. The problems were costing them customers every day.
We rebuilt the entire store on WordPress and WooCommerce with a modern, polished interface, a custom shipping structure, and eWAY and Stripe integrated for reliable payments. What began as a rescue project grew into a full ecommerce platform, rebuilt and extended as the business scaled.
In the last 16 months alone, Fast Gear drew more than 33,000 clicks from over 1.3 million Google impressions. The numbers that matter most are the non-branded searches, the terms a brand-new triathlete types when they are ready to buy, where Fast Gear sits on page one.
