WordPress Developer – Join the Uniweb Team

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our growing team. You will be working on a diverse range of client projects for Australian businesses, including custom WordPress builds, WooCommerce stores, custom plugin development, and ongoing website maintenance. This is a hands-on role with real variety, working alongside a dedicated team that takes quality seriously.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom WordPress websites from approved design mockups
  • Build and configure WooCommerce stores including product setup, payment gateways and shipping
  • Develop custom WordPress plugins and extend existing plugin functionality
  • Maintain and update existing client websites including security patches and performance improvements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across live WordPress sites
  • Collaborate with the SEO and design team to ensure sites meet performance and accessibility standards
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, CSS and HTML5
  • Solid experience with MySQL and WordPress database management
  • Good understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks, filters and custom post types
  • Experience with page builders including UX Builder and Elementor
  • Familiarity with cPanel, hosting environments, DNS and domain management
  • Experience with WooCommerce development is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Good written communication skills in English
